Maybe even Blizzard could make a game like that.Ī good question, and one that I can only answer somewhat vaguely. Think of all the worlds that sort of thing would fit into. I want a co-op survival exploration game set in Norrath. For example, I don’t want a new EverQuest that is made in the mold of Elden Ring. Just seeing this and imaging the possibilities sent me into a mild reverie of possible other studios and how they might do something similar. The Steam page even offers up Valheim as a “like” title. But the whole thing got me back on the Valheim idea. I mean come on, did they forget how that went with No Man’s Sky?Īnyway, it is on my Steam wish list now, but I don’t expect it to be a thing this year. And then I saw it doesn’t even have a release date yet and deflated with disappointment. I was immediately intrigued because while No Man’s Sky is not really my jam… I get it, the theme of existential loneliness, of being unanchored and adrift in an uncaring universe… the thought of them turning their talent onto a base building, survival, co-op adventure title like Valheim seemed like a really strong move. This urge actually started when I saw Hello Games starting to promote a new title called Light No Fire, which has a page on Steam now and a cool trailer and looks so very good. It combine an almost ideal mix of base building and exploring and resource gathering and battling and what not to keep the group invested while allowing for the different play time budgets of the group so that we could all get together for a specific task but still go off and harvest, build, or explore as we had time. Oh, that sweet survival builder title, it hit at exactly the right moment for us during the pandemic and we spent a lot of time with it through two runs. Call your local technical training center or trade school to learn more.Valheim. Even if they go on to do other things, it's always nice to know that they have something to fall back on. Give your kids a great start on the future! Encourage them learn a trade. The bigger the house, the more pipe, the more cost to operate. Even with fully insulated piping it cost you. THen there is the standbay heat loss of the tank(s). When you are recircing hot water around the house, the pipes are losing heat energy at all times the system pump is running. I will eventually switch out my tank/pump set up to it and will save about $50/month. A better solution is a Metlund Demand system with buttons or motion sensors around the house. You will have increased energy bills! Yes you will, trust me, I have that set up. You can use a hot shot tank right after your tankless to take care both expansion and a little extra storage/buffer and that will eliminate the cold water sandwhich. If you put your tank on the return to avoid the 1/2" connection issue, you get a cold water sandwhich effect. ![]() PLUMBERS "Protecting The Health Of The Nation" in fact you could probably get away with a 3/8" line but 1/2" is standard ![]() a 2 gal is plenty since all you need is a little water to already be hot Re: mini-tank and recirc for an on-demand hwh Any advice or insight on choosing the pump? Finally, I was looking at 1/33 hp grundfos pump w/ aquastat and timer but I've also read that the taco products are good as well. If I wanted to run the recirc line and hwh into the up-stream-side of the mini-tank (w/ appropriate check valves), will the smaller opening and exit from the mini-tank impact the overall flow noticeably?ģ. 3/4" comes out of the hwh but the smaller tanks are all 1/2" npt (6 gal tank is 3/4". How do you properly size the mini-tank? They come in a few sizes and I'm wondering if 2 gal is enough or it would be better to go with a 6 gal unit? I only have 2 full-baths and it's a typical house (2600 sq ft) so I'm guessing I don't need that much of a buffer.Ģ. I was planning to add a mini-tank (ariston 2.5 gal) to avoid firing the unit repeatedly, eliminate the cold sandwich effect, and preserve the warranty.ġ. I'm installing a on-demand hwh and recirc line/pump (with timer and aquastat). Mini-tank and recirc for an on-demand hwh
